A poem to remind us about gratitude and being thankful to God for bringing us this far in life. In a time of chaos, wars, inflation, and uncertainty, we can breathe to keep hope alive.
Let us start this month reflective and in gratitude
For the good things in life we have and enjoy;
Whether small or large, that attitude
Of thankfulness is priceless, something nothing can destroy.
To be at peace, to be in good health,
To watch your loved ones sing and smile,
To have just enough will and wealth
To give to the next man with no intent of guile,
Now, that’s a simple life worth living.
Tomorrow is uncertain, live in this moment;
But stay sharp, humble, and wise, and believing
You’re who God says you are. Let people comment,
Judge, invent thoughts of narrow-mindedness,
Stay true to your faith, and you’ll have joy and cheerfulness.
Gratitude, that’s our watchword and song,
Gratitude, let’s sing and sing it all day long.
